Denotation:                          Sad child with teary eyes thirsty child  WaterAid logo Company slogan Village behind him Connotation:  The child is sad because his village maybe lacks water. Could be water in his eyes because tears of sadness because he is realising what he doesn't have tears of joy because he is getting water. The WaterAid logo is there to show which company is helping this village.   The village behind him looks dry & they made sure to make the village lack detail so you can focus on the boy. The slogan is maybe to make people more aware & give them a wake up call so they can realise what is happening out of the area's they live in.   Language: The title, tag-line, all following the expected codes and conventions of a film poster. The main prop of the the man with the unique barley visible phone covered in blood  implies a dark twist on what could otherwise be a simple/basic horror film Audience: This looks like it would be targeted at people who like horror films lovers due to the dark colours and the blood. Most likely this film would be age based wise 15-30 due to the content showing blood meaning there must be a sense of violence. Industry: The film was produced by  Blum house Productions  Crooked Highway . It is directed by Scott Derrickson.
