  • Brief 4 (Sports Promotion): Find the official website and social media feeds (e.g., Instagram/TikTok) of a real sports personality or presenter (e.g., Marcus Rashford, Serena Williams, Alex Scott).



1. Mise-en-scène & Visual Style: Take 3 screenshots. Use the CLAMPS acronym (Costume, Lighting, Actor placement/movement, Make-up, Props, Setting) to explain how a specific mood or brand identity is created. What are the denotations and connotations of these choices?


Costume: The costume is full of bright colours to possibly show a bright mood

Lighting: bright golden lights to show she is in the spotlight

Actor: Extremely famous person for being first woman in figure skating to get Gold medal

Makeup: moderate amount of makeup as she is a popular figure skating star

Props: only props used is ice skates and Medals as those are the only props her professions include

Setting: The settings is a ice skating rink as that is where her profession takes place 


2. Target Audience: Who is this media product aimed at? Explain how the language, tone, and visual style appeal directly to this target audience.


This media product is aimed at people who are into sports specifically ice skating and in the age group of 15-25. This is shown as pictures of alysa liu often appear in teen magazines and younger platforms such as TikTok



3. How do they maintain a consistent look (fonts, colours, logos) between the website and social media? 


Her web pages consists of modern, clean, sans-serif typefaces as those are her signature fonts
