Mise-en-scene

 

The opening of Stranger Things establishes the setting as… a small, suburban American town in the 1980s.
The characters as young, nerdy, and  friends who are involved in imaginative play
The genre as a blend of science fiction and horror.
We know this because we see a government laboratory with flickering lights and alarms, a man being attacked by an unseen force, and then a cut to a cozy basement where four boys are playing .
This has connotations of danger lurking beneath the surface of ordinary life,  (especially Spielberg and Stephen King), and the idea that something supernatural is beginning to disrupt the normal world. The lab suggests secrecy and science experiments gone wrong, while the kids represent innocence and curiosity.

Iron Man 3	- costume looks clean, neat & tidy -during fighting scenes or scenes where he break through walls his clothes become dusty	-most of the time its dark to give a sense of mystery -light often flash when cameramen come	-he gets in his suit and moves hastily meaning most likely desperate -he is in a rush for something	-the stark tower a main setting -could be to show that he is rich
RDR2	-cowboy outfits to make it look more western  -the horses also help with the western genre	-the dark clouds contrast with the bright sun -the scenes when they are inside its dark because there is something specific	-most of the actors have a stern expression to show the seriousness of the situation	-most of the time it takes place inside a tavern or a cave
Stranger Things	-they made her with a bloody nose and bruises making her look like a victim of abuse and she constantly looks terrified	-natural lighting is heavily used because most of the time they are outside out in the open	-Actors have marked faces to make the look like they have been outside/ they have been playing together	-most of the time they outside right they bikes on the street
Nike	-the people all have positive emotions/expressions so you want to buy it	they wear glow in the dark outfits to make the shoes stand out	- actors move fast/ pasty to look the the shoes is giving them a boost enhancement	-basketball pitches because shoes are used for sport
